If you can drive for the possible field trip, pleased let me know ASAP. So far we have 1 maybe.
We took our first MAP test today. It went fairly well. We had a few technical glitches, but we fixed those.

Check you email for a field trip possibility. It is short notice, but if we can get enough drivers, we can go for free!
Picture day! It was nice to see your students dressed up, for a little bit anyway.
Today we deal with multiplying and adding fractions. Remember that when we ADD fractions we need common denominators (3/4 + 1/4) but, when we multiply, we do not (2/3 x 3/4) We also began looking at water on the surface and underground. (This involved some awesome artwork by me. I even uses different colors on the board.)
We also went through the study guide for geography. The test is tomorrow.
Speaking of tests, we will be taking our first MAP standardized test tomorrow, on math. It is important the the students do their best and remember that they are not supposed to get them all right.

Ask your student what their thesis is. We spent a lot of time talking about what a thesis is last week, and reviewed it today. I also spend a lot of time talking about it at the end of the classroom handbook. It is the main focus for the entire paper, so it is very important.

It's been quite a busy day today and it's not letting up! We talked about the research paper today. We are also trying to work on getting our work turned in on time. We had a rough couple of days of math assignments, so the assignment today was working on corrections from the last two sets. This will be a lot of work for some and very little for others.
Fun and Fitness tomorrow. Your students were given a sheet with their teams on it and the color shirt they should try and wear tomorrow.
