Happy last day of election ads for a while! I was reading about some of the elections before and after the Civil War. The people couldn't decide on a candidate, so they ended up with someone that wasn't even in the running to begin with and that no one was really crazy about. They were also very concerned with voter fraud and intimidation. The campaigns got very nasty with lots of personal attacks and reputations smearing. Some things never change I guess . . . .

Hello my friends! We had another noisy day today. Some of it was good noise, and, well, we'll keep working on the rest. Today in 1944 FDR was elected for his fourth term. Today in 2016, we talked about impeachment. I overheard some discussion and thought I'd clear up what impeachment is. It is when the House brings charges against a person such as the president. Then the Senate has to have a trial regarding those charges. We discussed how Bill Clinton was impeached. The class was amazed to find out that Mrs. Clinton has a husband who used to be president, and is still alive!  Our regularly scheduled SS lesson was on Mexico. We snuck that in there as well. We also did a little decimal work that involved reviewing the metric system. We had some time to work with a partner on our science review, but that didn't go as well as hoped.

I almost forgot! We started a new Christ Light book on Paul's' missionary journeys.

Hey all. Sorry this is a bit late. I got tied up after school. Well, not literally. There were no ropes involved, but it did keep me from blogging.

I will be gone tomorrow as we are taking Thaddeus to Children's Hospital for an MRI of his heart.
Many students need lunch/milk tickets.

It's Tuesday! The big thing today was doing our math investigation learning about how coordinate planes work. We also worked on being quiet when we need to. We will keep working on that one.
