Happy Friday. We were a little high energy today. We will have to work on focusing that energy. :-) I touched base with each student today about the research paper and gave them about 50 min to work on it while I did. Amazing how quickly that time went by! I almost didn't make it through them all!

Happy Thursday one and all. Today we continued working on story problems. We also learned how Suduko works. Prepositions are still on the menu, but we are also looking at many things that pretend to be prepositions, but aren't really.

So, here's the thing. An after-school appointment combined to an accidentally pulled out power cord led to no blog yesterday, but I'm back in action today. Speaking of back in action, so was math class now that the first test of the year is out of the way (which we did well on for the most part.) We worked on word problems. I encouraged them to read and subtract carefully. Two things we haven't been super at. We also discussed remembering to put our names on all our papers. 😳On a more fun note, we discussed literary devices like foreshadowing and suspense.

We had a few sleepy students today as you can imagine. We accomplished some things anyhow. :-) We worked on fractions as part of a math investigation. The test is tomorrow. Additionally, we are still plugging away at prepositions and adding a few new wrinkles. We have a few thought questions from our novel and in Christ Light talked about how we are all related.
