We took the science test today and it went well. Most of the class did very well. Unfortunately the same can not be said of the spelling test. The class average was barely passing. Encourage your student to study every day.

Today we started our Power Point presentations for music. We didn't get as far as I had wanted, so it looks like we will need to finish those on Monday. We also reviewed for the science test. The boys listened to some commentary on President Obama's stimulus package and a few other world events.

We started looking at people's impact on the land today in science. We will learn what we can do to help manage the earth. We actually talked about managing the earth on Christ Light as well! How did ancient people get fire? Your student knows what the ancient Greeks thought. Ask them!

We went through all the science test questions and answers today so I look forward to lots of "A" tests tomorrow. We had a good time hearing the students' various versions of the 'missing' chapter from Hatchet. This helped us learn again about the importance of proofreading. We also got to learn why "It is I." is grammatically correct despite how odd it sounds!
