Happy Monday! We got through lots of things today. We took a math test, discussed all sorts of things in Christ Light, started a review in science, covered the history of Latin America and learned about complex sentences. Whew! Many students are also trying the music sheets over, since they didn't go so well the first time.

Greetings all. Today was another very busy one. We practiced our song for church, then we estimated some numbers. After that, we reviewed our music sheets to make them even better, and we talked about the heat transfer in the atmosphere. In the afternoon, we traveled to South America and found out how to make proper sentences. Tomorrow will be another busy one.

Report cards went home today. Please take a look at them and get the signed envelopes back to me tomorrow. Thanks!
Working on the rough drafts. A few things I noticed so far: They tend to be short and unfocused. Also, watch out for plagiarism!
We will talk about each student's science fair topic tomorrow.

Welcome to another week of school. Today we got our big project for Holes. We also found out that there are still a lot of incompletes out there from first quarter. (I did a lot of correcting this weekend.) Report cards will go out tomorrow! We started talking about Latin America and the atmosphere today.

Do you have a science fair topic?

Yes, you heard right, it is Thursday. Again! I know! Big ole take home science test (open book) tonight. Corrected the geo test today. I don't think it was quite what we were going for grade wise. End of the quarter tomorrow and four students still have 0 AR points! Uh oh! On the flip side, many are WELL over 100% of their goal! We finished reading Holes today, so that was momentous. We also worked on a math pretest with a real test coming tomorrow. Several things due for tomorrow, so have a busy night!

Happy Wednesday! The quarter is almost over. Are those AR points in? Have you scheduled your conference online? Today we divided fractions, took a geo test, and started an O. Henry story for read aloud. For science, we did a virtual lab on the Chromebooks through our textbooks web site. That seemed to go well for a first try! How is the science fair coming?
