Not much to say but see you tonight and HAVE A GREAT SUMMER!

Monday, May 19, 2014

Welcome to the beginning of the end! I was at a technology conference today, but the students carried on without me. They got to start reading "The Ransom of Red Chief", got to finish of the geography book and got to be irregular again, with verbs that is. They also got to take a look at how drugs can affect our bodies.

We are walking over to WLA tomorrow for the wind ensemble presentation by MLC. Should be pretty cool. Please make sure your student is dressed appropriately for taking a walk.

Tuesday, May 13, 2014

Good Tuesday to you. Our big ticket item for today was going through the math test that we took yesterday. We had a range of grade from some A's to some not A's  lets call them. So, I kept track of how many students got each problem wrong and we went through each of those in class together. We seem to keep making the same kind of small mistakes that add up. Old habits die hard I suppose, but we will keep working on them as long as we can!

Our last full week has begun. As the weather warms and the school year wraps up, it will be even harder for our students to concentrate. Please encourage them to finish strong with their work and their behavior.

AR points are due on Friday. As a group our class is doing well, just a few more people need to get to their goal!

Thanks so much for all of the gifts last week. They were very much appreciated and some have already been used!

Thank you for a wonderful meal today!

I have told the students not to bring back their mold-able "erasers" to school any more. They have become too much of a distraction. Thanks for your understanding.

We get to watch the k-5 play tomorrow! Sounds pretty neat!

In science we are doing a health unit.

Happy Monday! Our class was quite energetic today, even after going to WLA and back again. However we did get to talk about Pythagorean Theorem. We also continued our study of Galatians and the climate regions of Australia and surrounding areas.

Track meet on Wednesday!

On Thursday, I need someone to watch the class from 11:00 to 1:00 so that I may join the rest of the staff for our teacher appreciation meal. If you are willing and able, please let me know. More than one person could work together!
