"The course of true love never did run smooth." We had a good field trip today at the PAC. The play we well done. It was interesting because they only had 7 actors so each actor played two to three parts. You had to keep an eye on the outfit to know which person they were being. When we got back we were going to watch the newer Kevin Kline movie version, but it seemed that some students couldn't handle seeing it another time, so we talked about the history and religions of South East Asia instead. Pakistan and Inda used to be all India when the British ruled. The British split them up becuase they were afraid there would be fighting. Well, there has been fighting anyhow ever since!

Tomorrow we are going to write our three passages and three hymn verses from the Christ Light book for memory work. We will also have a geo quiz on section 23-1. We will also correct math set 83.

Today we combined some of our math skills and put them all in one problem. We also took our science test, worked on some English jingles and sentences, and watched  a version of A Mid Summer Night's Dream. Hopefully this gets us warmed up to see the real thing tomorrow. We will leave after devotion and be back in the afternoon long before school is over.  BRING A LUNCH!

We have a change in the due date for the academic fair board. We are moving the due date to next Thursday, May 3rd, from this Friday.

Well, how about that for a game? Once we got that out of our system we talked about how God's gift of sex is protected in marriage. Then we discussed South Africa and south Africa. (The country and then the region.) We graphed inequalities (4 > x) and then talked about all the different kinds of pronouns. There are a lot. We reviewed for the science test and then watched a video on lightning tech that was  . . . illuminating. To end the day we looked at Shakespearean insults and turned them around to compliments.

CL memory will be for Monday Lesson 2

Friday, February 4, 2011

Have a great weekend! GO PACK! GO PANTHERS! So much to cheer for this weekend. Those of you are already done with the final copy of you report are cheering too I bet.

Today we started discussing one of my favorite composers, Bach. The people of his day complained that his music was too complicated, too much was going on. That's what I love about it! We also did some more percent problems, took our Africa map test, played with chalk, talked about resource books and got peppy.

Next week is short week so there will be no spelling. Lord willing there will be a baby though!
The final copy is due on Monday if it hasn't been handed in yet.
