Today we learned more about the shuttle program and about the Challanger tragedy. We also started learning our song for April 19th while continuing to learn our Palm Sunday song.

On a personal note, does anyone have or know of someone who has an infant travel system they are looking to get rid of? One where the car seat fits into a base and also into a stroller? If so, please let me know. Thanks!

The Christ Light tests did not go well at all. Many of the students were not able to paraphrase the review passages they were assigned on Monday. The rest of the test was explaining how those passages related to our discussions. Several students did very well and obviously put in some quality time. Unfortunately, that was not the case across the class.

The links for the 8th grade commercials are found on the right under the "Links" section. The volume varies from one to the next.

I am seeing students that are just now starting their Christ Light worksheets, spelling assignments, or studying for the Christ Light test. All of these things were assigned Monday. On Monday I encouraged the students to start them before tonight. These assignments are not meant to be done in one night, especially a night when we have church. Please encourage your student to manage his or her time and not leave these assignments to the last day.

English sample

Today we melted some snow people. (You'll have to ask your student what that means!) We also found out about a boy who worked for two years to earn money to buy some hunting dogs. The spelling tests went well, with many good grades. We will take a look at the science tests on Monday. If you enjoyed the music presentations, you may enjoy going back to Nov. 20th and reading the students Tall Tales. Just remember, they are unedited! We also continued to work on conjugating verbs. You can see an example above.

NEXT FRIDAY, THE 13th IS THE END OF THE QUARTER! GET THOSE AR POINTS AND MUSIC QUIZZES DONE ASAP!
