Wonderful weather today! Hope you get to enjoy it. We enjoyed correcting our geo study guide. We did pretty well I am happy to say. We also worked on scale and scale factor. We touched on it yesterday, but clarified a few things and tried to figure out how not to do it backwards. We also spent some time waving in science class and seeing what tides have to do with flying markers. We also learned how far Jonas' society goes for 'sameness'.

Monday's come and Mondays' go. Happy midterm. Take a peek at how your child is doing on Engrade. Don't forget to ask them how their AR reading is going as well. We also need some milk tickets. I'll try to remind the students who need one on Wednesday.

Today we learned more about satellites and the info they have given us. It was very interesting to learn that the Amazon produces almost no oxygen that we breathe but yet is indirectly responsible for most of the oxygen that we breathe. We also used the distributive property to help simplify equations with variables.

Enjoy your Friday! We worked on a geo review, learned some of the many things that we have learned about due to satellites, and took a math test, which we did pretty well on all in all.

We did well on our prestest for today. However, the past few lessons have been rough, so we spent another day on reveiw before the test tomorrow. The last review sheet was specifically on topics I noticed we had trouble with. This one was a review of the lesons 85-95. (We have gone through 95.) I wanted to give us a little firmer hold on these topics before we move on to lesson 96.

Welcome to Tuesday. Forensics tonight at North Fond du Lac. Good job all those who participated on Friday. Tonight we get to do it again. We also got to work with finding volume in math today. Before that we discussed how to make God-pleasing choices with the music we listen to.

Math Lesson 95

Monday, April 20, 2015

Happy BUSY BUSY Monday! It seems that most groups were able to finish their geo project today. They should be interesting!

For math, we did some review worksheets. (It took me four hours, but I got the pesky program to work right.) The sheets reviewed working with negatives and combining like terms, things we have been struggling with. We will take lesson 95 tomorrow and then have a pretest to review again before the test.
