Howdy! It's Tuesday and it is good that we did well on our Adverb grammar lesson today. (Well is an adverb and describes how something is DONE, an action, well is an adjective and describes how something is.) We also did some math stuff. (See below) Animal Farm is due tomorrow, grammar is due Thursday.

Happy Monday! It turns out that if you don't push the publish button on your blog post, it doesn't actually get published! So enjoy Friday's post belatedly.

Today we watched part of a film showing some of the persecution that people can face when they challenge things like evolution. It also questions some of the assumptions evolutionists make. We are also putting lots of math parts together into the same problems. In science, we are starting to learn about the difficult road to the moon and how we made it happen.

It was interesting to have a more regular sized class today! We did a math investigation, had an awesome instrument review, and watched a video about the search for life using the Kepler space telescope. We mentioned how really amazing it is to look out into the heavens and see billions upon billions of stars and planets in God's creation and realize that some people really believe that it really all happened by accident. I couldn't help but think of the passage He took him outside and said, “Look up at the sky and count the stars—if indeed you can count them.” Then he said to him, “So shall your offspring[a] be.”

HE IS RISEN!

We did a math pretest today and will play with compasses tomorrow. (I told the class they would need their compasses yesterday. Whoops!) We reviewed the moon and its phases and drove Snowball off the farm. Paul got to a new city today, and they tried to kill him there, too. We sentence fragments, too. (See what I did there?)

This wet and wild Wednesday found us talking about scale factor and the revolution of both the earth and the animals on the farm. (Two different types of revolution!) We had a little confusion about when literature is due. It is due tomorrow! AK will be performing for us tomorrow as well. Grammar, the hymn, and science are due on Friday. There is no vocab for Friday, however.
