We had a great trip today. The kids had a lot of fun. We had the place all to ourselves for the first 30 minutes. Then another school joined us. It turned out to be 11 2nd graders from Redeemer Lutheran in Appleton! That was quite nice, actually. I have lots of pics and vids. I am putting these in a dropbox.com folder that I can get you hooked up and give you access to, if you'd like. I'll also include a few below.

Happy warm Wednesday! We took this nice sunny day to visit the Australian desert and Antarctica. We took a math pretest and found out our last set didn't go so well and neither did the Saxon proofreading. AK came to sing for us and they were AWESOME! It was great to see 5 Faith alumni and the siblings of two of our students.
We will plan to leave for the planetarium between 9:15 and 9:30. Please make sure your student has a cold lunch packed. Also, if they want to buy anything from the gift shop, they should bring some money. It is all sciencey stuff, however. Also, the students should leave their electronic devices at school as usual.

Happy Thursday! We spent a lot of time today being spacy. We went through our science projects and learned about some space missions past, present and future. We also had our dress rehearsal for the musical. Our math lesson wasn't too tough today. We put some pieces that we've done before together.

Happy Tuesday! Sorry about no blog yesterday, but I was working on a computer right after school and then had to run to the softball game. If it makes you feel any better, it was a good game! Today we got the moon and learned how to count to find the slope of a line.

It's really Thursday this time, right? Are you sure? OK, good. Can you believe i passed up the chance to say May the 4th be with you yesterday? Anyhow, we continued our study of Paul's missionary journeys today. We also did some more work on surface area. If you want to quiz your child, ask her what 4 pi r squared is for. We started an in-depth look of the early years of the space race.
By the way, I made an adjustment on the AR goals for this quarter. The program automatically adjusts the points based on how many days in the quarter. The longer the quarter, the more points are needed. However, this quarter, the points were up quite a bit, especially when you figure in that we want the points all done before that last week. So, I managed to get them down to back around what the first two quarters were.
